Help Victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma

This year has been marked by an unprecedented number of natural disasters, from wild fires and flooding to the major hurricanes that hit the Texas coast and rampaged through Florida. The extent to which Hurricane Harvey may have devastated the 200 dental laboratory businesses in the south Texas region is still not completely known. However, from all reports, damage was widespread and many businesses severely impacted. The same is even more true for the 1100+ dental laboratory businesses possibly impacted by Hurricane Irma.

The NADL stands by to help any dental laboratory, dental laboratory technician, or anyone working in the dental technology industry who is affected by a natural disaster, through its Natural Disaster Relief Fund. Applicants can receive grant assistance of up to $800 to help in their personal or business recovery.

You can help your fellow colleagues and friends by donating to NADL’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund (www.nadl.org/disaster/). The fund was established in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which struck the Gulf Coast in 2005. “We received 300 applications after the Katrina event,” says Bennett Napier, CAE NADL. “We are expecting that number to significantly increase based on the severity of the Texas and Florida hurricanes.”
